After Hours Presents: Frida Fest
Wednesday, July 8, 2026
5:00–8:00 PM
Join us for an evening inspired by the art, style, color, and activism of Frida Kahlo.
We're transforming our parking lot and shop into a celebration of local artists, creativity, and community. Whether you're stopping by for a paloma, shopping local makers, creating art, or writing postcards to voters, there's something for everyone.
🎨 Artists & Makers
Browse and shop from an incredible lineup of local artists and makers, including:
Harper – Live portraits ($20 donation benefiting UnidosMN)
Audrey Designs

✍️ Postcards to Voters
Help us reach our goal of writing 100 handwritten postcards to registered voters with upcoming local elections. We'll provide the postcards, addresses, and script—you bring the handwriting. It's a simple way to put Frida's spirit of activism into action.
🎨 Community Art Project
Join local artist Sadie Ward in creating a collaborative portrait of Frida Kahlo using expired bras. Everyone is welcome to contribute to this one-of-a-kind community artwork.
🖌️ Live Portraits
Have your portrait drawn by Harper for a $20 donation benefiting UnidosMN.
📸 Flower Photo Backdrop
Strike a pose with our Frida-inspired flower backdrop—and don't forget to wear your favorite colorful outfit!
🩸 Period Product Drive
Frida believed in dignity, resilience, and lifting one another up. In that spirit, we'll be collecting pads, tampons, and other menstrual products for Neighborhood House throughout the evening. Help us fill another Subaru with donations!
